The Suicide of Freddie Mac

Freddie Mac is a piece with both global and personal influences. On the global level, it’s obvious connection to the current economic crisis and what has transpired provides the general program of the piece. On a more personal level, the title and the idea of suicide came as a memorial to a man who, after being promoted to CFO at Freddie Mac, killed himself because of the eceonomic turn. I’m not sure if this man had anything to do with the decisions that ultimately crippled the company. I don’t really care. This small personal event, and I’m sure many others like it, was barely a blip on the media channels – shame on them. The cost of even this one life is not worth all the money in the world.
