Written in collaboration with dancer Brittany Myers as part of the Engaged Scholars program, Divergence provides a programmatic portrait of a young woman’s anticipation, excitement, and uncertainty in her approach to the future. Throughout the piece, this portrait is painted through collaboration and dialog between the vibraphone and the tape.
